The OPP reminds all members of the public to be aware of their personal safety, and that of children at all times.  Children should not be left unattended anywhere, for any length of time, when out in public.  The OPP's website, www.opp.ca, contains a number of useful resources, tips and links.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating an incident in which an unknown male party exposed his genitals to a youth.

On Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at approximately 3:05 p.m. a 15 year old female was walking home from her bus stop in the former Manvers Township, when she was approached by a male party in a vehicle.

The male is described as white, approximately 25-30 years of age, medium build, brown hair, with 2-3 days worth of facial hair growth.

The vehicle is described as an older four door, square shaped vehicle, burgundy in colour with a beige bumper on the back.

The student and suspect left the area without further contact.

The OPP continue to investigate this incident and request that anyone observing the vehicle contact the investigating officers, Provincial Constable Duffy or Detective Constable Hildenbrand at the Kawartha Lakes OPP detachment, 705-324-6741.
Anyone having information on this crime or any others is asked to contact the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP at 1-888-310-1122.  Information can also be reported anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or by going towww.khcs.ca and submitting an anonymous tip online.
