Evacuated? Some To Do Items

The Burnt River Community Centre will remain open today. Residents who are evacuated are encouraged to register with the Red Cross at the Community Centre even if they don't require assistance at this time.
When leaving your home please ensure the hydro is shut off at the panel and that the valve in the bottom of furnace oil tanks is closed.
Anyone needing assistance with evacuation should contact the city's call centre at 705-324-9411. If you feel in immediate danger at any time please call 911. Residents will be advised when it is safe to return home.

Remember -Boil Your Well Water!

imageThe Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit (HKPR) advises that residents on well water affected by flooding should boil water for one minute at a rolling boil or obtain alternate potable water.
Yup, outhouses floating in the park? Boiling your water would be a definite must do!
