Kawartha Lakes Mums Salutes Kawartha Lakes Health Care Initiative!

For some bizarre reason  recruiting new doctors for rural family practice is a feat not unlike pulling a rabbit out of a hat. We like living here, what's stopping doctors? Congratulations to Cindy Snider, and the team at KLHCI on recruiting Dr. Manfredi. Finally there will be a full-time doctor at the centre!
'It has been a pleasure to work with Dr. Manfredi and the Community Health Centre to facilitate this recruitment. The continued recruitment of family doctors to the City of Kawartha Lakes means that the number of unattached patients, and those traveling long distances to see a family doctor, is reduced and a significant number of citizens can now receive much needed primary health care services in their own community," states Cindy Snider, the recruitment and retention coordinator for KLHCI. "It is very rewarding to have the recruitment efforts of KLHCI meet with continued success and to know that the Community Health Centre will now be supported by a full complement of family doctors."
