May 17 Lindsay Prescription Drop Off Day - Cupboard Clean Out !

Kawartha Lakes Families - Give Up Old Drugs! 

Friday May 17th, 2013 9 – 2:30 pm. Old unused medications in your cupboard? Kawartha Lakes families are asked to bring old unused medications for disposal to the Lindsay Paramedics in the Park program.


 The old unused prescriptions, and even over the counter medications can  be extremely dangerous in many ways Flushing them down the toilet is harmful to everyone. -So what's a mum to to?

 City of Kawartha Lakes Police Chief Hagerty explains :

Old and Unused prescription medications pose a problem for many in the City of Kawartha Lakes.
image pill bottles showing evnt information In association with Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police Substance Abuse Committee, The City of Kawartha Lakes Police Services, The City of Kawartha Lakes Paramedic Services and the Kawartha Crime Stoppers, and other local businesses would like to invite you to drop off your unused medications.
rf In addition to the above organizations, Safe Communities of City of Kawartha Lakes, Remedy’s Rx, and Castle Keep Retirement Inc. have all volunteered to help the cause. The goal of the day is to reduce access and availability of prescription medications. Bring your unused medications to Paramedics in the Park at Victoria Park Armoury at 210 Kent St West, Lindsay, Friday May 17th for a free drop off. Be sure to remove or black out labels.
