Leafs Alumni vs Kawartha Lakes Home Team- Save This Date!

Saturday, March 8th, 2014, Toronto Maple Leaf Alumni will play a game against our Kawartha Lakes“home team” at Lindsay Recreation Complex area. Kawartha Lakes Food Source will present this major fundraising event in Lindsay bringing people of all ages together in an evening of fun and excitement.

Hockey Helps Hunger Tickets!

Hockey is Canada’s favourite sport and the NHL and its players, past and present, are like royalty to those who love the game. What better way to raise much-needed funds for the Food Source than to bring some of hockey’s “legends” to Lindsay in a game against local hockey players for all to enjoy.
It is expected this event will generate a lot of excitement as most people don’t have the opportunity to attend games at the Air Canada Centre and this will be a chance to see some of our country’s great hockey stars up close. While the primary purpose in this initiative is to raise funds that will allow Kawartha Lakes Food Source to continue in their mission to reduce hunger in our community, they also strive to heighten awareness of this problem.
