Kawartha Lakes Carving Clubs Welcome You!

Kawartha Lakes Mums - Enjoy Carving?

Curious about carving? There are two Carving Clubs in City of Kawartha Lakes which may interest your family Caygeon Carvers, and Lindsay Seniors Carving Club.

Lindsay Seniors Carving Club is open to any seniors interested in carving, and Caygeon Carvers membership is open to anyone having an interest in carving wood. Interested? Read on!

Lindsay Seniors Carving Club

 Lindsay Seniors Carving Club meets every Monday afternoon (12:00 to 3:00 p.m.) from September to June, at the Lindsay Armouries 210 Kent St. W 2nd floor. Lindsay Seniors Carving Club membership is open to any senior having an interest in carving wood. Although bird carving is predominant, they have a cross-section of abilities and interests that are freely shared and encouraged among the membership. Each year, members pay a $8.00 membership fee to Lindsay Senior Association along with a $2.00 fee for each meeting attended. The funds are used for books and other materials for the benefit of the members.

Caygeon Carvers Membership

Bobcaygeon Kawartha Lakes - Caygeon Carvers
Caygeon Carvers meets every Tuesday afternoon (1:00 to 4:00 p.m.) from September to June, in the Henderson House, at Kawartha Settlers Village in Bobcaygeon. Caygeon Carvers Club membership is open to anyone having an shared interest in carving wood. Although bird carving is predominant they have a cross-section of abilities and interests, which are freely and encouraged among the membership. Each year, members pay a $35.00 membership fee to Settlers Village to help maintain the building and pay a $2.00 fee for each meeting attended with the funds being used for books and other materials for the benefit of the members

Kawartha Lakes Carving Competitions and Shows

Bobcaygeon Carving Club, the Buckhorn Carvers, and the Lindsay Seniors Carving Club host a fall show and competition each year in Bobcaygeon. The competition is open to carvers in the beginner, novice, intermediate and advanced levels in a variety of different categories. Monetary prizes and ribbons are awarded. Visitors delight in watching demonstration carving and talking to carvers about their hobby and creations. Carvings are offered for sale and carving suppliers are available to sell materials, tools, books and patterns.
