KawarthaLakes Weekend Fun - West Wind Blows Rain Away - Hooray!

Kawartha Lakes Mums - No More Rainy Weekend Outlook!

Kawartha Lakes received a flood watch warning from Kawartha Conservation yesterday, but with a turn to slightly colder temperatures, and a good strong west wind, the rain ended just before 1 am. This should be a great weekend for enjoying Kawartha Lakes activities.
Light snow started just before 5 am this morning, and even with the wind chill it is only about -2.  Sunday, is to be a sunny day and no rain in the forecast till about Tuesday.

Kawartha Lakes Weekend Fun Round Up

Saturday, April 5  you can have a blast at Sir Sandford Fleming Frost Campus Open House, and the Model Railway Show is on at the Victoria Armouries today and tomorrow. Ready for Softball? Bethany Park Softball registration is today.
Sunday April 6 North Country Gospel Choir presents a concert in support of Kawartha Lakes Food Source, and the Model Railway show continues at Victoria Armouries.

Hopefully this change in weather will alleviate some of the potential seasonal flooding in our area. Though there is some nasty looking rainfall building over the Gulf of Mexico, so I don't think we can put away the hip waders yet.
