3 Steps for Making Your Family Summer Bucket List

Making a Family Summer Bucket List? Here are three steps to help keep the peace, and arrive at a Summer Bucket List that will make for a memorable summer:

1. Step 1- Gather information. Get the excitement and the creative juices flowing. Look at the tourism information for your area, either online, or grab some brochures. Search for summer crafts, summer recipes, and summer activities. If you have little ones go for glossy brochures to spark their interest.
2. Step 2 - Brainstorm -Put down everyone's ideas with out being judgemental, or negating. Set a timer for 2-3 minutes and get all the ideas down as fast as possible. Give each person 1 minute to give their ideas. Little ones can point to the pictures they like.
3. Step 3 - Imagine - Ask each family member: If this was our last summer we could spend together as a family, what one item would you want to do. What one item would you not want to do?

What should you do with the rest of the ideas? Go through the list once again with the same questions. If some things are totally out of your budget, use some creativity to simulate the experience. Want to stroll along the Seine in France? Pack a picnic, some French music, and stroll a nearby boardwalk like the one by the river in Lindsay.
