  1. It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown as featured in Time and the New York Times. We especially like the educational features such as word and note highlighting to help improve reading and musical skills, players can even hear individual words spoken with the tap of a finger.  Our top choice and the top choice in Books and Games today.

  3. Pumpkin Creation is free app similar to a virtual Mr. Potato Head. Designed for both iPhone and iPad. Players can choose from a wide variety of eyes, mouths, pumpkin types and accessories, light their Jack-o-lantern and even email it or share it on Facebook with friends. Due to the social media function, we would recommend this be used with parental supervision. There is an option to turn off in app purchases for deluxe added features.

  4. Pic Collage - Photo and Video grids for Halloween.FREE App for iPhone and iPad. USA Today says: "Whether you're 6 or 106, you'll find the free Pic Collage app an excellent way to dress up your photo collection and share your handiwork." 70 million people use PicCollage to make collages of their photos. Pic Collage even has Halloween CONTESTS that allow you to create a visual response. You can share your collages on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and tumblr! Good news for parents and teachers - the "School Settings" feature allows you to disable "Photos from Web" and disable all social features such as the Explore and Profile tabs.

Add a message and you can share your creation by email, Facebook, and Twitter along with the ad for Parents magazine. This has no in app purchases as it is has an ad for Parents magazine, and what's the harm in that? Great for children of all ages though we would like to see an option to disable the social sharing.

  9. Halloween City is a Free Game with in app purchases for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. It has hundreds of Halloween themed animated characters that can be combined to make hybrids. There is a farm where you feed and grow your monsters, a city decoration part, and a battle zone. If you can turn off the in app purchases, we can't seem to find the setting. Teens and up who enjoy sim type games might enjoy this, but we're not keen on it.
  10. Coin Dozer Halloween a free app for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch has 3-D graphics that have fascinated players in many countries making it the number 1 app in UK, Hong Kong, Macau, Netherlands, Taiwan, Malaysia, Japan, and Philippines! The higher the level, the more  new treasures you can collect.  We can't ind instructions for disabling the in app purchase options. Interesting simply for seeing the 3-D Graphics. Coin dozer game fans will like this, but a bit boring for us.
