Kawartha Lakes Infant and Pregnancy Loss Supports - Sadly Lacking ~

October 15 is is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day. One in four babies do not live. Chances are that if you yourself have not experienced the loss of a baby, someone you know has lost a baby. We searched the internet, and found some useful online resources. Unfortunately, we could find little in the form of local supports specifically for baby loss.  If you know of baby loss resources for City of Kawartha Lakes, please share them in the comments below. What resources did we find?

October 15 #Babyloss Day

Here are some baby loss activities happening October 15.
Kawartha Lakes Mums Heart Goes Out to Homes Missing a Baby 
  • +Today's Parent  is devoting their Twitter stream @todaysparent to miscarriage and #babyloss, and have a special page devoted to the most current information about baby loss.
  • CN Tower will be lit with pink and blue
  • Niagara Falls will be lit.
  • People are encouraged to place a candle in their window at 7pm  in support of grieving parents.

October 18 - Walk to Remember

Parent and Infant Loss Network invites you to join them from 2-3pm Saturday October 18, 2014 at Mt. Hope Cemetery Toronto. This will include an open mic opportunity to share healing journeys, hanging names on the tree and a reception to follower. See details at Give Hope
