Kawartha Lakes Kids Do You Love Basketball? Register Now! 

Kawartha Lakes kids in many communities can enjoy fun activities this winter thanks to the Kawartha Lakes Boys and Girls Club.  This post has information about the great basketball programs offered by our local Boys and Girls Club, as well as a few basketball themed crafts and activities.Many of the sessions are starting soon, but there are still spots open in several communities.  Parents can register their children online. While the standard registration is $30, subsidies may also be available if needed.

Boys and Girls Clubs Kawartha Lakes Winter Fun

Boys and Girls Club Kawartha Lakes is offering two fun basketball programs in locations across Kawartha Lakes : Mega Hoops for JK to Grade 2 and Steve Nash Youth Basketball for grades 3-4 and 5-6.
Now offering online registration for your convenience, parents can register their children from the comfort of their own home, and even add activities to a wish list to share with relatives looking for gift ideas.
What are these programs like?
Mega Hoops Basketball coed program for Grades Jk-2 will consist of 45 minute program that will include active warm-up, skill game activities and equal play game play 3 vs 3 based on Physical Literacy Guide and Long Term Athlete Development Model for Active Start and Fundamentals Stage. Ages: Children need to be at least 3years 9months but less than 7years 11months for this program.Do you have older children? There's fun for them too!
Steve Nash Youth Basketball coed program for Grades 3 - 4 and Grades 5 - 6 will consist of a 60 minute program that will include active warm-ups, skill game activities and equal play game play 3 vs 3 half- court based on Physical Literacy Guide and Long Term Athlete Development Model for Fundamentals and Learning to Train Stage. Ages: Students need to be at least 7years 9months but less than 11years 11months for this program.
