Lakes Mums- What Are Your Father's Faves?
Scott Baxter, celebrated Father's Day this morning, sharing his musical gifts at guest musician at Trinity United Church,Omemee. The young father started playing trumpet in 1997 at Heritage Christian School Lindsay as a Grade 7 student under the tutelage of Gary Schubert.Trinity United Church congregation was treated to two pieces a Trumpet solo, and an arrangement of one of my father's favourite pieces 'The Old Rugged Cross' arranged for piano and trumpet.Enjoy!
Scott can usually be found playing at Fairview Baptist Church in Lindsay, and very kindly volunteered to bring his talents to Trinity United Church in Omemee this morning,at the request of organist Shirley Robertson. I only wish my father were still with us to enjoy this rendition of this great old classic hymn. What songs are some of your Dad's Faves? Please share them in the comments below.
