Charming Rodeo Star at Ross Memorial Hospital

2013 Rodeo Days will feature a professional Rodeo Show, The All About Horses Show, vendor booths, on site camping, barn dance, beer gardens, educational clinics, and much much more! We had the rare opportunity to meet one of the young stars of the Rawhide Rodeo Show at Ross Memorial Hospital while he was being outfitted for a cast after breaking a bone during a bull wrestling demo for local students.

SATURDAY MAY 25TH @ 6PM AND SUNDAY MAY 26TH @ 3PM The International Professional Rodeo Association (IPRA), presented by the Rawhide Rodeo Company, will make the Lindsay Exhibition Fairgrounds a stop on the 2013 Professional Rodeo Season Series. Four countries will be represented at this professional rodeo including top hands from San Paulo Brazil, the United States, Mexico and Canada, competing in the most dangerous sport, Bull Riding! All of the professional Cowboys and Cowgirls competing will be vying for coveted world championship points and tens of thousands in prize monies. The top 15 Cowboys and Cowgirls of the IPRA rodeo series will qualify for the International Professional Rodeo Finals held in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, next January. This event features Professional Rodeo Events, including Bareback Bronc Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Bull Riding, Team Roping, Calf Roping, the Canadian Cow Girls, and “the world’s most dangerous sport BULL RIDING” plus much more! Portions of the proceeds from this event will support Camp Maple Leaf. After great success last year, Rawhide Rodeo Company is partnering up with the LINDSAY AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY’S 5TH ANNUAL ALL ABOUT HORSES SHOW

All About Horses Show -Lindsay

All About Horses -  an equine event is entertaining as well as educational and provides attendees with lots of opportunity to “get up close and personal” with horses and their owners. A wide variety of riding and driving demonstrations, and heavy and light breed displays will take place both days. Some of the more unusual breeds to be presented include the very beautiful Gypsy Vanner, Peruvian Paso, and Andalusian horses, to name just a few. Heavy horse hitches, including the Belgian, Clydesdale, Percheron, and Commercial horse breeds, will also be featured daily. Free horse-drawn wagon rides will provide transportation throughout the grounds, allowing attendees to experience the way we travelled years ago and save their feet at the same time. Again this year, the event will include an extensive trade show, showcasing the latest equine products and services such as tack, clothing for horse and rider, fencing, feed, trailers, jewellery, artwork and much more. With more than 40,000 square feet dedicated to equine related products, there is sure to be something for every shopper, horse-loving or otherwise.
