Lindsay Ribfest Much More Than Ribs!
Here is a partial list of some of the Lindsay Ribfest 2014 activities: Outdoor HD Movie, Midway Rides Antique Boat Show, Live Music, Duck Derby , and of course tonnes of fabulous foods! Lindsay Ribfest Fun
Lindsay Ribfest also has tons of mini-events going on over the weekend so, bring your friends, family, even strangers, and plan to “Play and Stay” in the beautiful City of Kawartha Lakes.The scenic location at the Old Mill Park in Lindsay means the Ribfest is accessible by foot, car, boat, and city trolley! Remember, Lindsay offers free daytime docking for all water lovers out there!
Not hungry? Well, come to Ribfest and enjoy the great rides at our Midway, tour the wide variety of vendor booths, or grab a seat and enjoy some of the live music we have planned for the weekend. Here are some of the events so you can plan your stay:
- August 14, event opens at 5pm showcasing HD Outdoor Movie at dusk, The Goonies
- August 15, Rib eating contest between some very popular media personalities,
- August 16, a Lazy Day Boat Poker Run between the communities of Lindsay, Fenelon Falls, and Bobcaygeon,
- August 17, we will be hosting a Backyard Cook-off, and also on August 17 a Duck Derby and an Antique Boat Show hosted by the Trent Severn Antique and Classic Boat Association.
This year, all the proceeds from the Lindsay Ribfest will be donated to Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes and the Canadian Mental Health Association Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge branch. Admission is always free, but donations gratefully accepted at entrances!
