Lindsay Jolly Jog Benefits Kawartha Lakes Charities

For the past 5 years, the Lindsay Jolly Jog has raised over $36,000 for the Santa Claus Stocking Fund as well as donated thousands of food items to the Kawartha Lakes Food Source.The event is brought to you by the Lindsay Jolly Jog Committee, Greg Dowdall-Investment Planning Counsel, and the City of Kawartha Lakes Parks, Recreation & Culture Division. 2014 is expected to be the third sellout year in a row, with a record funds raised toward a goal of $20,000.

 “We can only anticipate this event to continue to grow as more community members embrace the holiday spirit and join in giving back to our community,” said Karyn Dowdall, Organizing Committee Member. 

What is Lindsay Jolly Jog?

The Lindsay Jolly Jog is a 5k fun walk/run for families and friends to take to the streets of Lindsay dressed in their most festive outfits and spread holiday cheer. Participants can take part in carolling and cookies along the 5k route, visit with Santa, enjoy live entertainment, then return back to the Victoria Park Armoury for a chili brunch. There are great door prizes to be won, as well. Be sure to enter the costume contest! Prizes will be awarded for:

• Most Spirited Group
• Most Spirited Family
• Most Spirited Adult
• Most Spirited Child

KawarthaLakes Events- Lindsay Jolly Jog

Lindsay Jolly Jog sound like fun? Kawartha Jolly Jog will take place Saturday November 29 2014 from 10 am to 1 pm. Register now before spaces sell out. Proceeds from Registration fees will be split evenly between Kawartha Lakes Food Source  and CKL Santa Fund. Financial donations for Kawartha Lakes Food Source are very important. Did you know $1 cash donation = $7 in food for the food bank? Registration fees are:

• Adults -$25 
• Children ages 3-12 - $5 and 
• Pre-School under age 3 are free. 

Pre-registration is required for this event, limited space is available. Register online on Eventbrite in person at the City of Kawartha Lakes Parks, Recreation & Culture Office, 50 Wolfe Street, Lindsay, or Saturday at the Lindsay Farmers Market. Tip - if you register in person, more money will go to the fundraiser.
