Kawartha Lakes VBS 5 Ways to Help

Camp fun just doesn't appear out of thin air. If you would like to help make a summer fun experience for children in your community, here are 5 simple things you can do to help.
1.Pray. Pray for the VBS camps, staff and children attending them.
2.Spread the word! Share this post with families in Kawartha Lakes through email or on your social media page or profile.Be sure to include a note about what you enjoyed about VBS.
3.Sponsor a camper! Contact a VBS and offer to sponsor a child. While VBS are very low cost Day Camps, there are some children whose families may miss out due to lack of funding.
4.Volunteer! There are many ways to volunteer before VBS starts - painting, gathering craft supplies, preparing craft kits. If you have a vulnerable sector police check, your volunteer time might be welcome during the VBS camp too.
 5. Offer supplies! Loan props or donate food, sunscreen, bug repellent or other supplies. Contact your local VBS to find out what they need. You might be surprised at the things you even have laying around your house that they can put to good use make summer fun for children in City of Kawartha Lakes.
Here is a growing list of the Vacation Bible School Camps we discovered that are running this summer in City of Kawartha Lakes. Did we miss yours? Please drop us a note and end us the details.
