Lindsay Bulk Barn owner Gary Traill, kindly spent a few minutes chatting with me about the 25th Anniversary Rotanza taking place Friday May 4th at Lindsay Fairgrounds.
' Our Rotanza is a wonderful opportunity for people to experience an all-you-can enjoy buffet from a wide variety of Kawartha restaurants, caterers, and Culinary Professionals,' explained Gary, adding, 'This is the 25th Anniversary of our Rotanza Fundraiser, that's why it is called Silver City.'
Gary Traill, a long time Rotary member, has volunteered many years, arranging Rotary International Youth Exchanges for local students. The Rotary Club has sent students on exchanges to many countries including Russia, Germany, Brazil, and Thailand. While the Rotary youth exchange is the more well known activities they fund, the Rotary Club of Lindsay also raises funds through Rotanza for the Ross Memorial Hospital, Five Counties Childrens Centre & many other worthwhile projects to enrich the lives of others in our community.
'Tickets are only $120 per couple,' explained Gary, one of the Gold level sponsors for Silver City Rotanza adding 'Each ticket also enters you in a draw for over $41,000 in prizes, and since there are only 700 tickets printed, you have better odds than some of the bigger lotteries'
