Gamiing Nature Centre Lakeshore Festival Celebrates Rivers to Oceans Week!

Kawartha Lakes Mums- Are Your Kids Exhibiting at Gamiing Lakeshore Festival Tomorrow?


This year the Gamiing Annual Summer Festival is going back to its roots. There will be an eco fair with students presenting their projects, and lots of fun for the whole Family! We would love to hear about their projects.

Here is a peek at the line up for tomorrow.
11 am: Canadian Raptors -falcons, owls
12 noon EcoProject Presentations
1pm Puppet Show “All about Water”
2pm Canadian Raptors-eagles/hawks
3pm Open Mike with local talent
Games and adventures during the day
Picnic Lunches
Dinner from 4pm

 Live music, great food and great fun!! Guided Nature Walks, Raptor Shows, Games, Wild Edible Organic Food Court, Information and Exhibit Court. Rain or Shine. (Admission by donation)

East Kawartha Lakes Family Canoe Day BBQ!

Kawartha Lakes Mums! Pack up the kids and a picnic! Time to paddle your canoe! The following fun event just East of Lindsay, south of Bobcaygeon , and north of Omemee takes place on Emily Creek tomorrow. Call ASAP to let them know you will be there!

May 12, 2012: Emily Creek BBQ and Canoe/Kayak Day. Come out and enjoy a day of fun at the Emily Creek Wetland Property!! Kawartha Heritage Conservancy is hosting its annual BBQ at Emily Creek this year. Spend some time with co-volunteers and land owners and get out on the beautiful Creek to enjoy the outdoors on a lovely May afternoon.
What time: Saturday, May 12 - BBQ starting at 1130am; Canoe/Kayak starting at 1:30pm, ending around 3 or 4
What to bring: lunch/food for the BBQ, canoe/kayak, life jackets, weather appropriate clothing (if you don't have a canoe or kayak please let us know asap so we can make sure there is enough for everyone)
