Woodville Area Families - No Thanksgiving - Will There Be A Christmas?
Next weekend as you tuck into your Thanksgiving dinner, families in Woodville area will be facing a very different Thanksgiving. What's on your Thanksgiving dinner menu? Turkey and dressing and all the trimmings? Theirs? Would you prefer your peanut butter on toast or bread?Woodville Christian Foodbank previously served 12 to 30 families each week in the area of Woodville, Kirkfield and Bolsover, but the food bank had to cut back from once a week to twice a month. Last year 30 hampers were sent out to families for Thanksgiving…. THIS WILL NOT happen this year due to low funding and lack of financial resources. Can you help so they can make sure their are enough resources to provide Christmas hampers?

Saturday November 1, 2014 Woodville United Church 3rd Annual Food For Thought Concert will challenge you to think of Moses in a new light, as they tell the story of Moses through the music and lyrics of artists such as:
- The Eagles
- Lorde
- Sarah McLachlin
- Elvis
- 4Nonblondes
- Leonard Cohen
- Johnny Cash
- Valdy
- American Authors
- Steve Earle and more!
Doors open at 3:30pm. Silent auction begins at 4pm Concert begins at 4:30pm, Spaghetti Supper begins 6:30pm Admission by donation of cash or food.

Thanks for sharing this post about the needs of people in the Woodville area. This is a real travesty that families in Canada are going hungry when you look at some of the ridiculous things our government has spent money on in the past - ie an artificial lake when we've tonnes of real lakes.
