Community Care Kawartha Lakes - Spreading the Word

Earlier this month, CCCKL staff from the Dental Clinic and Community Health Centre held a special event at Nayoro Place housing in Lindsay- a collaborative effort between CCCKL and the City of Kawartha Lakes.. Many neighbourhood youth enjoyed assisting with the preparation of salads for a BBQ supper, and they took part in a hand drumming session with djembe drums. Dental staff shared how the clinic's services can be of help to residents, and representatives of the Good Food Program shared the welcome news that Good Food Boxes will be delivered to the Nayoro community centre beginning this month. Meanwhile, other Good Food Box customers will continue to pick their orders up at Cambridge Street United Church in Lindsay on the third Tuesday of the month.

Community Care Kawartha Lakes - Hits Air Waves

Each Tuesday morning in October, a CCCKL staff member will be speaking on 91.9 BOB-FM Radio following the 8:30 news, addressing some specific areas of service that the agency has to offer for local residents.
