Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kawartha Lakes – Haliburton are preparing for their 10th Annual Charity Dinner Auction, and you can be part of the fun too! The BBBSKLH 10th Annual Charity Dinner Auction welcomes donations of items to their auction that reflect you or your business, and tickets are available too. All funds raised from this event go directly to support the BBBSKLH Mentoring programs that are offered to children from 6 to 16 years of age in our community.

About BBBSKLH Mentoring Programs
BBBSKLH Traditional Big/Little and In-School Mentoring programs that are offered to children from 6 to 16 years of age in our community. These programs assist children in reaching their full potential by increasing their self-esteem, and confidence through a relationship with a positive role model.
Changing young lives can change life in our communities too.Helping children reach their full potential can lead to positive community outcomes like a reduction in poverty and unemployment, safer schools and neighborhoods, and a new generation of civic-minded adults.
Preparations are well underway for the 10th Annual Charity Dinner Auction, scheduled to take place Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the Victoria Park Armoury. Once again, for the 7th consecutive year Water Depot of Lindsay and Minden are the generous presenting sponsor for this event! Food for Thought Catering will once again be catering this wonderful dinner.
BBBSKLH goal this year is to exceed last year’s success, have more community members attend the event, and provide over 200 silent, and live auction items, for bidding. They are seeking support from our community to help make this possible.
How to Get Involved
Some ways to get involved would be to donate an item that reflects you or your business, or to attend the event – tickets are $30.00 each or $210.00 for a table of 8.
