Kawartha Lakes Mums Hosts a Wellness Facebook discussion each Wednesday, where we welcome friends of Kawartha Lakes Mums to share their input on Wellness topics.
There are a myriad of Wellness topics designated for promotion each month, so how do we choose the topics? Generally it is a combination of what City of Kawartha Lakes people are sharing on our Facebook page - priority one, and topics that are trending in news and media - priority two. We especially like to have guests share their knowledge on wellness topics, to answer questions others may have.

Health Canada Wellness Calendar List
The following list of Wellness topics is from Health Canada Online's Calendar of Health-Related Days which lists health-related days, weeks and months that have been announced by recognized health organizations and are recognized throughout the health professional community. Whatt other significant Wellness dates do you think should be in this June Calendar list? If you wish to submit an awareness event that meets their criteria, please send information about the event in both English and French to general inquiries at Health Canada. The submitted information will be forwarded for final decision to Health Canada issue experts in the related field.
