Brenda Stonehouse is also a professional artist, and mother, who writes a very interesting blog about her painting. Over the past few months Brenda has been working on a commissioned painting, which needed to be kept under wraps as it was to be given as a present. The painting, called "The Retreat" is the view from a very special place for her client. She worked from a photograph taken on an overcast day and was asked to brighten it up. This, as you can imagine, must have been extremely challenging, having to change things without personally having visited the spot. This left her wondering-
