Murderous Roots , Virginia's first published novel, hit shelves December1, 2009 and is still available print on demand from Write Words Inc. and at Amazon.com as well as for the Kindle. A second novel in the Dangerous Journeys series, The Facepainter Murders a semi-finalist in Kindle Review of Books, 2012, followed. Born in Arnprior, Ontario, and raised in the Ottawa Valley, Virginia Winters studied medicine at Queen's University following her highschool years in Renfrew. Graduating in 1970, a Fellowship in Paediatrics followed, with graduation in 1976. Now retired, Virginia's interests, besides writing, are genealogy, gardening, photography, and studying Italian.
