Where is your favourtite Trent-Severn Waterway Spot?Kawartha Lakes Mums - Get your cameras ready! It’s time to capture what Discover, Play and Stay in the Trent-Severn Waterway means to you.
“We want to encourage all those who live, work and play in the various communities along the Trent-Severn Waterway to capture their favourite experiences within the region and share them with us,” said Tourism Development Officer Laurie Bell.To enter
simply go to www.facebook.com/DiscoverPlayStay, “like” the page, and post your photo tagged with the location in which it was taken. The lucky winner, randomly selected, will receive a fantastic prize donated by “Stuff” a Discover, Play and Stay vendor in downtown Lakefield. All entries should be posted on the Discover Play and Stay Facebook page by no later than 4:00pm Friday August 16th 2013. The winner will be announced on Friday August 23rd, 2013. Photographers of all ages and experience levels are encouraged to participate. Also, look for the Discover Play and Stay ballot boxes in retail stores, restaurants, accommodations and attractions in communities along the Trent-Severn Waterway this summer and submit your bar code tickets to win more great prizes. The Discover Play and Stay program was initiated by Parks Canada in 2011 as a tourism marketing program to promote the many communities along the Trent-Severn Waterway and is a partnership between local communities, businesses, organizations and government, now led by the City of Kawartha Lakes.
