City Seeks Your Help Locating Woman ! Can You Help?

City of Kawartha Lakes  Seeks Public's Help Locating Radioactive Woman!

Well Kawartha Lakes Fire Rescue  are not really seeking a radioactive woman, but rather a woman with an unusual query about radioactive waste!

The Kawartha Lakes Fire Rescue Service needs to speak to a woman who was inquiring about the disposal of a radioactive substance.

The woman made contact with authorities on the morning of Saturday, November 30, 2013, regarding the safe disposal of this material.

The Fire Chief needs to follow up and contact this person directly as soon as possible.
"At this time I do not believe this material poses a threat to the public safety," said Fire Chief Mark Pankhurst. "We just want to be sure that this substance is disposed of properly."

Chief Pankhurst further stated that this matter is not related to the downtown incident that occurred on Saturday.

Anyone with any information should contact the Fire Chief directly by calling (705) 340-0161.
