2014 Kawartha Lakes Accessibility Awareness Nominations Sought [Thankful]!

2014 Accessibility Awareness Recognition Awards Nominations

Kawartha Lakes Mums -Do you know an individual or community group who has gone above and beyond expectations to promote accessibility within the City of Kawartha Lakes? If you do,
please consider submitting a nomination for one of the City of Kawartha Lakes Accessibility Awareness Recognition Awards.

The City of Kawartha Lakes Council has established seven annual awards to recognize outstanding contributions to make our City – A Barrier Free City in the categories of:

  •  Business, 
  • Community Group, 
  • Educator, 
  • Individual – Adult and Youth, and 
  • Design. 
A new award was introduced in 2009 – The Barbara McArthur Memorial Award to recognize outstanding achievement in the area of promoting accessibility on an ongoing basis within our City.

Awards Criteria and Nomination Forms are available from any of the six Municipal Service Centres and City Hall, by calling (705) 324-9411 or by visiting the City of Kawartha Lakes website.
