Kawartha Lakes Mums Joins Local Autism Ontario Chapter Thanking Lindsay School!
Autism Ontario posted the following note of thanks on their website:Autism Ontario - Peterborough expresses a great deal of gratitude to St. Dominic Catholic Elementary School in Lindsay, Ontario for their generous donation of $3000 toward their Summer Activities Funding initiative.

St Dominic Elementary offers English and French Immersion for grades K-8, and emphasizes the importance of helping others in need through Social Justice Role modelling. It is is the home of the City of Kawartha Lakes CASA program for students living with autism. In 2004-2005 St. Dominic Catholic School opened a Snoezelen Room designed to help children with sensory needs. Other special programs include:
- Day Care program
- “Six Plus” program for school age children.
- Special Program Classroom for Primary Students
- Special Program Learning Centre for Grades 3-4
