National Ice Cream Day in the USA was July 15, but last night an email alerted me that Sunday July 20, 2014 is National Ice Cream Day in Canada.
One of the most famous things about City of Kawartha Lakes is Kawartha Dairy Ice Cream - made from our local farmers' milk. Kawartha Dairy Ice cream started over 75 years ago in Bobcaygeon, Kawartha Lakes Ontario, and while you can find Kawartha Dairy Ice Cream in many supermarkets , restaurants, and retail stores, its headquarters remains in Bobcaygeon, where you can pop by and order delicious ice cream dishes right from the dairy!
