Why are we looking forward to this movie?
Here are our pre-screening thoughts.

Tomorrowland - Disney's 2015 Blockbuster?

When our family was offered free tickets to see a pre-screening of Tomorrowland, we jumped at the opportunity. Why?
First of all there is the plot.

Tomorrowland Plot

In Tomorrowland, a teen bursting with scientific curiosity teams up with a disillusioned former boy- genius inventor on a danger-filled adventure to unearth the secrets of a place in time and space that is locked in their collective memories.  What they must do there changes the world—and them—forever.
Oh, did I mention the teen bursting with scientific curiosity in Tomorrowland is a girl?
Tomorrowland- Britt Robertson as Casey

Casey [Britt Robertson] is the teen brimming with scientific curiosity in this adventure screenplay by “Lost” writer and co-creator Damon Lindelof and Brad Bird, from a story by Lindelof & Bird & Jeff Jensen, “Tomorrowland” promises to take audiences on a thrill ride of nonstop adventures through new dimensions that have only been dreamed of.
Kudos to Disney recognizing the scientific curiosity in teen girls!
I've always loved plot lines that look at the ultimate "what if" and play with the time-space continuum. Growing up some of my favorite books were A Wrinkle in Time and  The Wind in the Door by Madeline L'Engel. I was also fascinated by stories of inventors and inventions. Is it surprising that I later went on to study Programmable Logic Control Systems?  My DD also enjoys science and spends hours on independent study. I am sure this is definitely a movie our science loving family will enjoy.
What makes me think this will be a top movie of 2015?
Check out the skills behind it!

Tommorrowland Writer - Director Combination Cited as Sure Fire Ht

On IMbd, a movie rating site, "Tommorowlad" points out this interesting fun fact about two-time Oscar-winning director Brad Bird and writer Damon Lindelof.
FUN FACT: When Brad Bird's writers for Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol ran into some narrative problems, guess who they brought in as an uncredited screenwriter? That's right. Damon Lindelof. And look at what a success THAT movie became. All because Lindelof saved the writing and Brad Bird was in the director's chair.
It's inevitable. Let me say it again. Inevitable. .... Brad Bird is a fantastic director. Lindelof is a capable writer. The story is amazingly original. The CGI is pristine. The aesthetic is immersive. Tomorrowland will be one of the better films of 2015 if not one of the best.
What's my third reason for really looking forward to this movie?  I'm very curious to see how George Clooney plays his role.

Tomorrowland Cast  - George Clooney Stars In My Eyes

George Clooney!
Did Disney purposely choose George to bring the mums into the movie?
Excuse me while I attempt not to drool in my popcorn.
Seeing George interact as a responsible caring male with kids may be an emotional turn-on for many women. The way to a mother's heart is through her children.
Enjoy this clip of George Clooney in Tomorrowland.
