Kawartha Lakes Lindsay Exhibition Draws Competitors!

Kawartha Lakes Families enter Lindsay Exhibition Competitions each year. There are a wide variety of age groups and classes. Our family's favourite are the Homecraft and Junior Divisions. Here are a few tips from our experience that you may find helpful.

Lindsay Ex Homecraft Entry Deadline

5 pm, Friday September 6, 2013 is the deadline to register for the Homecraft Division, but if you miss that date, you can pay a late fee of an additional $5 and enter by 5pm Friday September 13. The regular registration fee is only $10. You can print the form fill it out, then scan and submit it online with a credit card payment or submit the form in person with cash or check. Go through the book and enter as many categories as possible -even if you don't think your work is worthy of a prize, the judges may think differently. I have won first place with entries that I almost didn't submit.
Administration fee must accompany all entry forms except in:
Special Needs (9000 ‐ 9024), Manor (9101‐ 9157) and Youth (8016 ‐ 8031) classes.

Lindsay Ex Entry Rules

Pay close attention to specifications so your entry is not disqualified. Entering baking? You'll need a stapler, paper plates and clear plastic bags, not plastic wrap.

Lindsay Ex Junior Arts Entries 

Students registered in an Elementary or Secondary School in the City of Kawartha Lakes must enter exhibits through the School they attend, home schooled students should contact the LEX for instructions on how to enter. Sometimes schools are not on board with entering. Call your school and ask who is co-ordinating the fair entries. If you are not able to find the co-ordinator, contact the LEX for assistance. We have entered directly at times.
