Sunday, September 21, 2014 Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes welcomes you to take steps to support animals in need across Ontario. The Friends for Life! Walk™ to save pets, presented by Nutrience and benefiting the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, is being held at various times Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21, 2014 in 17 communities across Ontario. When is our walk?Each event is part of the Friends for Life! Walk Weekend, which is designed to raise funds and awareness for the protection and care of all animals in Ontario. Here in City of Kawartha Lakes, our local walk will be from10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2014 at the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes 107 McLaughlin Road, Lindsay, Ontario K9V 2V3. There are many ways you can help animals in need. Which ways will you help?

- Donate any amount or get some friends together and fund an investigation -$500; help a puppy mill rescue $160; feed a puppy $30 feed a kitten $20 see more ways to donate here

When: September 20th -21st, 2014 Time: 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Who: Everyone is encouraged to visit the website to register for a walk in their community and gather pledges to help thousands of animals in need of care. Even people without pets can come out to enjoy the events and support this worthwhile cause.
