Want to try out a Music for Moppets Session before July?
Regular September to June weekday programs are FREE for families with newborns to age 10 weeks and only $10 per family for others to drop in for any Moppet Morning. Keep your receipts for tax purposes too!
FREE Music Program for Families with Newborns?
Yup! You read right!
Families with newborns are FREE until the youngest is 10 weeks old. Whether it is your first or third child, bring all your pre-school children for FREE. It's Karen Wooley's gift to celebrate your new arrival. Come to any or all Moppet Mornings. Find the routine best for you then settle in as you sing and socialize with new friends. Parents can bring a friend or family member to help out. Gramma's, Granddads and other relatives, without their own children present, are all part of that drop-in FAMILY price.
Daycare Provider Special Music for Moppets Discount
Individual Day Care providers can bring 2 children at the weekly rate, and are charged one additional fee for all other moppets in their care. Day Care groups are most welcome but should contact Karen for arrangements in advance.
What Happens at Music for Moppets?
Music For Moppets is the local ongoing community playgroup with a musical foundation, for children and their parents or caregivers, in a welcoming space at a reasonable cost.
- Doors open at 9:30 am with a half hour Warm Up and Welcome social time. Coffee and Tea are ready so lug a mug or use one of their cups. Children will find a small collection of toys on the circle time quilt zone to play with as parents socialize.
- Circle Time begins at 10 sharp. The toys are "put to sleep" and Karen leads the group for 40 minutes with songs, rhymes, tickles, bounces and lullabies.
- Snack Time follows with juice, coffee, tea and cookies supplied. Families are welcome to bring a snack for their wee ones. NO NUTS please like most daycares and schools.
- Social Time continues through until just before noon. The toys come out and children move about the room playing with classic toys. Parents and care givers mix and mingle with adults and kids. Families trickle away as their schedules require with some departing as children fall asleep for naptime, dash for an appointment or stay till the last minute to get all they can from the Moppet Mornings.
