Public Library hosts Open Houses for Municipal Councillors
Kawartha Lakes residents, tax payers and visitors are welcome to meet their councillors at a series of Open Houses being hosted by Public Libraries throughout City of Kawartha Lakes beginning Saturday January 10th at the Dalton Library and finishing with a session February 7th at Bethany Library. What questions and concerns will you share with your councillor?

Public Library Municipal Councillor Open Houses
KAWARTHA LAKES – Members of the public are invited to attend a number of open houses at branches of the Kawartha Lakes Public Library in January and February.The open houses will be an opportunity for the public to meet and interact with individual Ward Councillors, Library Board Trustees and the new Chief Librarian, David Harvie.
“This is a great opportunity for the public to come in and visit our facilities and different library branches across the municipality, while getting to meet with and talk to their Ward Councillor, Library Board Trustee and myself,” explained Mr. Harvie. “We really want to hear feedback from the public on the library system and hear about our individual library branches.”The open houses will begin on Saturday, January 10 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dalton Branch and conclude on Saturday, February 7 at the Bethany Branch.
Library Branch Open Houses include:
- Dalton Branch on Saturday, January 10 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with Councillor Rob Macklem
- Coboconk Branch on Monday, January 12 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with Councillor Emmett Yeo
- Kinmount Branch on Thursday, January 15 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with Councillor Gord Miller
- Lindsay Branch on Saturday, January 17 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with Mayor Andy Letham, Councillor Isaac Breadner and Councillor Pat Dunn.
- Woodville Branch on Monday, January 19 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Councillor Andrew Veale.
- Fenelon Falls Branch on Tuesday, January 20 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Councillor Stephen Strangway and Councillor Doug Elmslie.
- Bobcaygeon Branch on Thursday, January 22 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with Councillor Brian Junkin and Councillor Kathleen Seymour-Fagan
- Dunsford Branch on Saturday, January 24 from 11:00 a.m. to Noon with Councillor Kathleen Seymour-Fagan
- Omemee Branch on Wednesday, February 4 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Councillor Gerard Jilesen and Councillor Mary Ann Martin.
- Bethany Branch on Saturday, February 7 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with Councillor Heather Stauble.
